"Our Nation"
How is the ethnic conflict that developed in Sri Lanka, a little island off a corner
of the world, linked to global politics? How did this have an impact, not only on
Sri Lanka's politics, but also on continents from South Asia to Europe - from the
West to the East? Why did the war come to an end without a solution to the ethnic
conflict? Will the future world tolerate such unnecessary wars detrimental to global
interests? Will it encourage such wars? The 90-minute documentary film "Our Nation"
reviews and analyses all of these issues! The premiere of the film was held in the
Queen's Park Ball Room at the Park Hyatt Toronto on Sunday, October 18, 2009.
"Call of the Conscience"
This human rights art exhibition, presented at Roy Thomson Hall on August 23, 2008
was centered on the unfortunate ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka.
Our presentation gave us an opportunity to highlight the tragedy that befell both
parties to the conflict. The unimaginable and irreparable damages caused to the
nation for over half a century as highlighted by us baffled the viewers. What held
the country in shame before the world has now completely taken the West aback.
"The Conscience"
A CD entitled "The Conscience" comprising the following six documentary films aimed
at reflecting the root causes of the ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka and its development
from the time of independence to now was released in the spring of 2009 -
- Roots of the ethnic conflict
- Setting the battlefield
- A game of Tit for Tat
- Self-determination or Self destruction?
- Ready to die - Ready to kill
- Stabbing ourselves in the eyes
"Tolly Vision"
The "Tolly Vision" TV show on Channel 12 Durham. Cinema discussions were held every
Saturday 9.00 - 9.30 a.m in 2007.

"Red Winter"
This film premiere was held at Thornleaf Auditorium in North York on October 11,
2006. Breaking away from the general trend of traditional Tamil films, a more Western
approach was used. It was screened in Canada and Europe for a Tamil and non-Tamil
audience and it received awards at various festivals in Canada and Europe. Red Winter
was widely praised for its technical excellence. This movie established us as creative/unique
filmmakers in the Canadian scene.
